Civil Project Manager
We have a unique career opportunity for a civil/highway engineer with a track record of successful WisDOT project experience. Our Wisconsin office specializes in roadway and bridges, traffic engineering, water and wastewater services and public involvement and provide exceptional services to the WisDOT as well as several municipal local agencies. This person will play a key role in the growth of our WI operations and must be comfortable leading business development efforts as well as executing project work.
Location
This role will be located in the Milwaukee, Neenah, or Madison office.
The Impact You Will Have
  • Serve as Project Manager on transportation projects
  • Create and execute project work plans
  • Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
  • Coordinate with all disciplines internally and externally with subconsultants
  • Manage & Mentor junior staff
  • Contribute to Division strategic growth initiatives
  • Champion relationships with key clients, including WisDOT

Additional responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and overall leadership for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs.

  • Develop project scope, schedule, and budget, integrating them into work plans to streamline project execution and enhance efficiency.
  • Identify necessary resources and effectively delegate staff duties and responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Resolve scope, schedule, and budget discrepancies with Group Manager and client, maintaining positive relationships and enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Check and sign off on deliverables, ensuring completeness and adherence to quality standards, thus enhancing project outcomes and client trust.
  • Ensure compliance with project and company safety guidelines, mitigating risks and safeguarding project integrity and reputation.
  • Track lessons learned and share insights with team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assist with Professional Development Plans for staff, nurturing talent and fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Contribute to proposal development, leveraging project successes to secure new opportunities and drive company growth.
What You Will Need
  • BSCE or related discipline
  • Registered Wisconsin Professional Engineer
  • Minimum of 10 years of design experience including managing projects
  • Experience working on WisDOT projects
  • Seller/Doer mentality
  • A track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills
