An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach.The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach.The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience.Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks.
Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline.Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who's who of Miami.Spanning 25,000 square feet of innovative indoor and outdoor event space, Andaz Miami Beach will become a landing spot for guests and locals seeking celebratory gatherings that embrace the city's culture of music, art, and fashion.
About the Role
  • The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing corporate and social events, including weddings, mitzvahs, galas, and other special occasions. This role actively solicits new business opportunities while managing the full event lifecycle, from initial inquiry and proposal through contracting, planning, and event execution.
  • Key responsibilities include reviewing contracts, conducting hotel tours, and coordinating communication with clients and relevant hotel teams before, during, and after each event to ensure a seamless experience and a high level of service.
  • The Event Sales Manager builds and maintains strong client relationships, participates in and may lead event and staff meetings, and collaborates closely with the Sales and Events teams. The manager also partners with an assigned Events Concierge/Coordinator and other support staff to ensure successful event planning and execution .
  • Achieve assigned revenue goals through proactive lead generation, client outreach, networking opportunities, and effective conversion of inbound inquiries.
  • Represent Andaz Miami Beach at industry events, networking functions, bridal showcases, and community organizations to cultivate new business relationships and enhance market visibility.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects, accounts, and client requirements simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively with Events Operations, Revenue Management, Marketing, and other hotel departments to deliver seamless event experiences.
  • Proficient in utilizing sales systems, reporting tools, and account management platforms to support business development activities.
  • In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a quarterly incentive plan based on the manager's achievement of assigned revenue and customer service goals.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of hospitality experience within an events or catering team, along with a demonstrated passion for the social events market. Experience selling and servicing weddings, mitzvahs, galas, and other high-touch social events, is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Events Sales Manager, or similar proactive sales role within the hospitality industry.
  • T his position is not eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and requires full-time, on-site attendance at Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa .
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of experience in hotel catering sales, event sales, convention services, or hospitality event management, preferably within a luxury or full-service hotel environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Hyatt systems, commercial strategies, and brand standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Full-service hotel experience or event venue experience strongly preferred.
