Position Summary

Willie C. & Sons Landscaping is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to oversee landscape construction, hardscape installation, and seasonal snow operations. The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from contract award through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and company leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Manage multiple landscape construction and hardscape projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and schedules to ensure successful project execution.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and budgets prior to project start.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Identify and resolve project challenges, delays, and client concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, daily reports, and project updates.
• Ensure projects meet company quality standards and customer expectations.

Financial Management

• Monitor project budgets, labor costs, material costs, and equipment utilization.
• Track job costing and profitability throughout project execution.
• Approve vendor invoices and review project-related expenses.
• Work with Estimator/Designers to submit change orders when scope modifications occur.
• Work closely with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate project financial reporting.

Client Relations

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular project updates and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Conduct project walkthroughs and final inspections with clients.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and warranty issues professionally and promptly.

Team Leadership

• Coordinate with estimator/designers, production managers, foremen, and field crews to ensure efficient project execution.
• Assist with workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct and document jobsite safety inspections.
• Promote safe operation of company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and property damage.

Snow Removal Operations

• Participate in planning and execution of commercial snow removal operations.
• Assist with route planning, equipment readiness, and material management.
• Serve in an on-call management capacity during snow and ice events.
• Coordinate snow removal crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources during storms.
• Monitor service quality and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Assist with post-event reviews, documentation, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in landscape construction, site work, hardscape construction, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and job costing.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with LMN software is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk jobsites over uneven terrain.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to respond to after-hours project needs and snow events as required.
