ALPHA Landscapes is seeking a full time, experienced commercial landscape estimator/project manager.


ALPHA Landscapes is an established commercial construction focused landscape firm working with general contractors, municipalities, and the DOT in central Iowa.


We are looking to bring someone into the company with experience bidding, and managing projects as a earthworks/civil construction contractor.


This position will have a primary focus on estimating and managing our prime, DOT, and civil construction-type projects.

Job Description:

  • Manage assistant PM to facilitate workload
  • Quantity takeoffs
  • Quote procurement from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Create competitive, profitable proposals
  • Following up with clients post-bid
  • Backlog forecasting/management
  • Complete Submittals/RFIs
  • Putting projects under contract (Confirming scope and contract amounts, setup orders and create POs)
  • Change order/document management
  • Schedule coordination with clients, subcontractors, and ALPHA production superintendents
  • Provide direction to superintendents and field supervisors when there are scope questions.
  • Attend pre-construction coordination meetings when required.
  • Assist office administrator with AIA billings as needed

Requirements:

  • Self motivated individual who can increase sales and revenues.
  • Must have ability to manage your time and work effectively with little supervision
  • Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information
  • Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Able to prospect new clients/projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven customer service skills
  • 3 years of previous civil construction estimating or project management experience
