Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects successfully on time, within scope, and on budget. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for both internal Sapiens stakeholders and external clients, ensuring alignment, transparency, and effective execution throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Manager oversees all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, progress reporting, and issue resolution. They proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and meet defined objectives.

Description:

  • Responsible for ensuring that in-house and customer projects are delivered in scope, on-time, in superior quality and on budget.Ā 
  • Utilize Agile or waterfall project management methodologies and relevant supporting software in the planning, scheduling, reporting and change management of the projects.Ā Work with resource managers to assign qualified project team members.
  • Manage (in a matrix way) business analysts, developers, and testers throughout the project lifecycle - from business requirements acquisition to a successful go-live.
  • Create, monitor, and execute project plans.
  • Work closely with the project technical leads in the creation and management of project artifacts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Governance - provision of customer project statuses, project timeline maintenance, project plan performance reporting, etc
  • Estimate and create project budgets including but not limited to tracking and monitoring project cost, review of budgets and costs with the customer and internal management, management and maintenance of detailed project time records for all members of the project team.
  • Management of problem reports and working with the technical lead on the scheduling of workarounds and fixes for such items.
  • Audit implementations to ensure the implementation processes defined internally are followed.
  • Manage customer expectations and deliverables including as appropriate client issues management and escalation.
  • Report, document and manage risks, risk mitigation activities and the resolution of system delivery and support issues.
  • Support the sales functions to expand the customer relationship beyond the projects.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with both client and management to determine the scope and objectives of each project.
  • Work with Sapiens finance and legal teams to create and approve client statements of work contracts.Ā 
  • Working knowledge of Clients License Service Agreement
  • Provide feedback for annual performance reviews for direct team members.

Ā Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience managing large complex projects/programs ($3+ MM) within the L&A vertical
  • Minimum of 10 years of L&A Domain expertise
  • Experience with managing all aspects of policy administration system implementation and integration.
  • Experience with managing all aspects of underwriting, application, and illustrations system implementation and integration.Ā 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a global delivery model (onshore/offshore)
  • Must be able to motivate and energize a globally distributed team.
  • Proven ability to work with changing priorities and quickly adapt to change.
  • Ability to understand complex L&A business processes.
  • Consultative and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated engagement and influencing at CxO level.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.)
  • Strong customer support experience
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Travel requirement- approximately 20%-based on the project needs.
