Job Description Want to help build the next generation of AI-powered software development. Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to play a key role in building an internal AI engineering platform that will transform how software is developed across the enterprise. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity focused on modernizing cloud automation, developer tooling, and infrastructure.

You'll help migrate an existing library of AI engineering workflows from Azure to AWS, enabling developers to leverage AI-powered coding assistants within a secure, scalable cloud-native environment. If you're passionate about AWS, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted software engineering, this is an opportunity to work on a highly visible initiative using cutting-edge technologies. What You'll Do As a senior member of the platform engineering team, you'll help build the cloud foundation that powers AI-enabled software development.

Responsibilities include: Migrate cloud automation, deployment workflows, and engineering playbooks from Azure to AWS. Design and implement reusable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Build and maintain container deployment workflows using Amazon ECS on Fargate.

Configure AWS services including IAM, ECR, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, VPC networking, and related platform services. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Configure secure authentication using OIDC, IAM roles, and modern identity management practices.

Adapt developer tooling and automation for cloud-based development workspaces. Partner with platform engineers to validate, optimize, and improve reusable engineering workflows. Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development while ensuring quality through thorough testing and technical review.

Create technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials to support long-term platform adoption. Required Technical Experience Senior-level experience building and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure. Strong knowledge of AWS services including ECS/Fargate, IAM, ECR, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, SSM, VPC networking, and S3.

Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable modules and infrastructure migrations. Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker.

Strong scripting skills with Bash and Python. Experience working with Git and GitHub Enterprise. Ability to understand existing Azure implementations and successfully migrate them to AWS.

Preferred Qualifications Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants. Experience with cloud-based developer environments such as Coder, GitHub Codespaces, or Dev Containers. Familiarity with AWS CDK, AWS Blocks, or similar infrastructure frameworks.

Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, or OIDC-based identity federation. Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or AWS Glue. Background in financial services, insurance, or another regulated industry.
