Enterprise Project Manager
$119,000 - $149,000 | Hybrid with in-person reporting to one of the following Minnesota locations: Duluth, Cloquet, Eveleth, Cohasset, Coleraine, Little Falls or New Salem, ND.
Join a growing team at the forefront of energy transformation. In this role, you'll lead large-scale capital projects from planning through construction, helping deliver innovative solutions that strengthen reliability, sustainability, and community prosperity.
What you'll do
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of project professionals responsible for delivering some of the company's largest and most strategic capital investments, typically ranging from $50 million to more than $1 billion. Foster a high-performance culture through leadership, coaching, accountability, and continuous development while promoting excellence in safety, schedule, cost, and quality performance.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver complex projects by developing project scopes, work plans, budgets, schedules, milestones, commissioning strategies, and operational readiness plans that align with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for large, complex, multi-year capital projects from initiation through commissioning and closeout.
  • Establish and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and change control processes using disciplined project management and project controls practices.
  • Manage project performance and resources through effective forecasting, scheduling, reporting, risk management, contract administration, and coordination of internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Direct and coordinate internal and external resources across engineering, construction, operations, finance, safety, environmental, regulatory, procurement, and other key functional areas to support successful project execution.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with company safety standards, quality expectations, environmental commitments, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with project stakeholders, contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal business partners to drive project success and organizational objectives by communicating project plans, progress, risks, and key activities with employees, customers, community stakeholders, government agencies, vendors and other affected parties.

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree PLUS eight years or more related experience OR
    • Associate degree PLUS ten years or more related experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering capital projects within the electric utility, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • A valid driver's license and the responsibility to maintain it.
  • Strong project management, engineering, and construction background.
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills required for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships inside and outside the Company.

How to stand out
  • Possess a professional engineering license, advanced professional degree (MBA), a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification program.
  • Have experience in construction, industrial projects, engineering, operations, and capital project execution within the utility or energy industry.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $119,000 - $149,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package including:
