A leading building automation and controls contractor is seeking an HVAC Controls Project Manager to join its growing Austin team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing building automation, controls, HVAC, or mechanical construction projects and possess the organizational skills necessary to successfully lead projects from planning through completion.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and coordinate HVAC controls and building automation construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, assignments, and responsibilities for project team members.
  • Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment procurement to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct pre-construction planning meetings and ensure all action items are completed.
  • Monitor project performance, financials, and contract progress while proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Review project reports and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage subcontract agreements and equipment buyouts to support project schedules and profitability goals.
  • Prepare and submit monthly billings while maintaining strong project cash flow.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Visit project sites regularly to review progress, conduct inspections, and resolve project-related issues.
  • Manage customer relationships and facilitate conflict resolution with clients, vendors, and trade partners.

Qualifications Required
