Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and financially savvy Project Manager to join a rapidly growing Building Automation team. In this pivotal role, you will own projects from conception through completion, leading a high-performing team of engineers. You will be the primary commercial contact for customers, taking full accountability for project financials, reporting, procurement, change management, and overall project health.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial & Commercial Leadership: Own project margins and proactively drive financial health. Manage cost projections, cash flow reporting, monthly invoicing, and change order drafting/quantification.


Project Execution: Establish strict project schedules, monitor progress, accurately forecast resources, and present comprehensive scope/resource plans to the divisional Director.


Risk Management: Identify potential sources of risk early and develop robust mitigation strategies. Troubleshoot and determine causes of schedule/plan deviations, implementing corrective actions.


Customer Facing: Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for clients. Negotiate Terms & Conditions and ensure total customer satisfaction.


Technical & Team Leadership: Manage large-scale or multiple concurrent projects. Provide technical guidance to the engineering team, enforce engineering standards, and ensure rigorous quality control throughout the project lifecycle.


Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of better project management tools and participate in the companys Quality Management System (QMS).


Qualifications:


Experience: 3-5+ years of project leadership experience (as a Project Manager or Technical Lead).


Technical Foundation: Basic understanding of HVAC systems in large Building Automation Systems (BAS), including sequence of operations, P&IDs for HVAC/plant utilities, instrumentation, and control valves.


Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office (Word, Excel).


Soft Skills: Proven ability to organize, schedule, and lead meetings with internal teams and external customers. Excellent communication, organization, and motivation skills.


Bonus/Preferred: Experience with Building Automation and/or Industrial Controls (Rockwell, Schneider, AVEVA, Inductive Automation) and onsite commissioning experience is highly preferred.
