Position: BAS Controls Programmer/Technician
Job Description: BAS Programmer/Technician will work as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of DDC building automation systems. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, contractors, engineers and fellow team members.
Job Duties:
Manage installation subcontractor during construction phase of project to keep them on track and on schedule.
Creation of software programs and animated front end graphics.
Checkout, start-up and commissioning on projects.
Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
Must be familiar with various hand and power tools.
Performs service repairs, adjustments and calibration on building systems.
Coordinate customer-training and complete closeout documents
Provide technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.

Job Requirements:
3-5 years of experience with DDC Building Automation Systems, BACnet, Siemens Apogee.
Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends.
Proficient in reading wiring diagrams.
Both written and verbal communication skills a must.
Proficient with IP networks.
Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
Occasional travel may be required.
Min. Yrs. Experience: 3-5 years with Siemens Systems
Education: High School Diploma and/or Trade School
Certificates Required: Siemens Apogee, PPCL

Role Description At HTS, BAS Controls Tech is a senior-level field technician who provides expert support in diagnostics, programming, and repairs of building automation and control systems. This role also serves as a mentor and technical resource for junior technicians, while ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Lead advanced control system installations (North Texas Market), programming, troubleshooting, and repairs. Diagnose system issues through testing, observation, and equipment setup. Document labor, materials, and commissioning/check-out results accurately. Operate company vehicle safely and maintain proper stock and tools. Procure materials and use controls software to develop and update graphics, sequences, and databases.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a technical field preferred.5-7 years of controls experience. Certifications in Tridium AX/N4, Distech, Siemens Strong knowledge of A/C and low-voltage D/C circuits. Hands-on experience with controls platforms such as Distech, JCI, or SIEMENS Competent with testing/metering tools and Windows-based software. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and strong business ethics.
