Position Overview
The Lead Operations Delivery Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end project execution across Operations various business functions in a regulated medical device and biotech environment. This role serves as the single point of accountability for Operations for complex, cross-functional and multi-site programs, aligning strategies, priorities, and timelines to ensure product availability, compliance, and organizational objectives are achieved. Acting as a change leader, the Lead Operations Delivery Manager leads new product introductions, system implementations, and process transformations while proactively managing risks, dependencies, budget and trade-offs that impact supply continuity, cost, and quality.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Serve as the Operations lead across Operations business functions to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain execution. Align operational strategies, priorities, and timelines to support product availability, lifecycle management, and business objectives in a regulated environment.
  • Lead complex operations programs spanning multiple functions and sites. Serve as the single point of accountability for program outcomes, ensuring alignment on scope, objectives, milestones, and success criteria across all stakeholders.
  • Act as a change leader for operations initiatives, including new product introductions, system implementations (ERP, planning tools), and process transformations. Ensure stakeholder alignment, clear communication, and disciplined execution to minimize disruption and sustain long-term improvements.
  • Proactively identify and manage cross-functional and cross-site risks, dependencies, and constraints that impact supply continuity, compliance, cost, and service. Facilitate structured trade-off discussions and scenario analysis to resolve competing priorities and enable timely, enterprise-level decision-making in a regulated environment.
  • Design and lead integrated governance structures, operating cadences, and performance dashboards that provide clear visibility into program health, operational impacts, and benefits realization. Deliver concise, outcome-focused updates to senior leadership, highlighting risks, decisions required, and recommended actions to sustain alignment and accountability across functions and sites.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to work designated schedule.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel 50% between local Exact Sciences locations.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to essential duties; or Associates Degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Operations, Procurement or Supply Chain organization.
  • Experience leading projects and/or project teams
  • 3+ years of experience in a biotech manufacturing facility, with cGMP, FDA regulated, ISO13485, and LDT environment and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability working in a matrix management organization with primary responsibility for project success while relying on a team of resources outside of reporting structure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in project management programs such as Project or Smartsheet.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering) or Business Administration, or a related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with qPCR or NGS assay development, design transfer or product support.
  • Experience with supply chain/operations ERP systems.

Salary Range:
$112,000.00 - $190,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
