Job Description
Manager, Sustaining Project Management - GP Improvement
The Manager, Sustaining Project Management drives project/program excellence and change management to drive year-over-year cost savings across the UCC business.
This role leads cross-functional project activities that deliver GP improvement over the ASR period, starting with idea creation of high value transformative programs to business case development, budgeting, execution and savings.
This strategic role serves as the single point of contact for CTW (cost savings) programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management & Insights
  • Drive GP improvement targets across assigned platform and products
  • Proactively drives idea / opportunity creation to fill savings pipeline over the ASR period
  • Develop business cases to secure program specific funding and resources
  • Presents portfolio performance/health and risks to leadership and governance forums

Process Excellence & Governance
  • Works cross functionally to develop project plans and resources allocation
  • Promotes PM best practices, templates, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leverages AI and advanced analytics to drive operational efficiency

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Mentors and Train manufacturing plant PMs on standardized best practices, project charter, project schedule and risk identification
  • Influences cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to align priorities and resolve conflicts
  • Identifies project risks and leads proactive risk mitigation
  • Collaborates with plant finance, business excellence and functions leaders

Resource & Financial Planning
  • Reviews resources allocation and budget management across projects
  • Collaborates with UCC Finance on yearly budgeting and monthly financial results

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years in portfolio/program management in technical or regulated environment
  • Expertise in portfolio tools (PowerBI, MS Project) and performance metrics
  • Experience with design control and product development processes
  • People management and mentoring capability
  • Strategic thinking with cross-functional influence skills
  • Excellent communication across all levels
  • Up to 20% travel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical device industry experience
  • Bi-lingual
  • Project management certification (PMP, PgMP)
