Job description

For 30 years, Axiom has brought ambitious ideas to life; building architectural environments, retail experiences, art installations, and custom projects that most shops wouldn't attempt. From our 75,000-square-foot facility, we design, fabricate, and install one-of-a-kind work for clients who want the impossible made possible.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager who understands how things are built and wants to grow into managing the people who build them.
You'll work alongside our Project Management team, helping transform concepts and drawings into organized, executable projects. You'll review plans, assist with estimating and budgeting, coordinate vendor pricing, track project changes, maintain schedules, and keep critical details from falling through the cracks.
If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving the puzzle behind complex builds, you'll thrive here.
What We're Seeking
Required:
  • Hands-on experience in carpentry, woodworking, cabinet making, or manufacturing (non-negotiable)
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read drawings and work confidently with details, documentation, and numbers
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail displays, construction coordination, or project administration
  • Familiarity with Excel, Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Slack, or project management software

Why Axiom?
  • Clear path to a Project Manager role
  • Competitive salary and benefits: $60,000-$67,500 DOE
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) & Roth options
  • 6 paid holidays
  • 4 weeks PTO accrued, starting in year two
  • Dog-friendly office
  • Collaborative team that loves teaching, learning, and building extraordinary things

If you've worn a tool belt, know how things go together, and are ready to help manage the creation of incredible projects, we'd love to hear from you.
