FINANCIAL AID PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR — JOB DESCRIPTION
Remote | PST or MDT Timezone Required | Full-Time

Position Overview:
The Financial Aid Project Administrator is primarily responsible for the management and administration of financial aid projects as assigned. Projects may relate to but are not limited to file review, departmental PolicyStat maintenance, Federal Work-Study, Veterans' Programs, State Aid, and third party billings. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Student Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the Federal Work Study Program.
  • Manage and coordinate third party billing processes.
  • Facilitate contract completion as required for third party partners.
  • Review and process Financial Aid documentation in a multi-system environment for continuing students.
  • Provide support, clarification, and resolution to campus staff to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal Student Aid and applicable regulations through conferences and online training.
  • Assist in the creation of procedure manuals related to third party partners.
  • Assist in preparation and completion of annual federal financial aid audits.
  • Assist in evaluating and applying regulations to implement policies and procedures for campuses.
  • Facilitate training related to specific areas of expertise as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with outside agencies on behalf of Charter College.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or currently enrolled in a related degree program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Student Financial Aid (Required).
  • All Federal Student Loans must not be in default to gain access to NSLDS.
  • Continued employment is contingent on Federal Student Loans remaining in good standing.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (Required).
  • Strong organization and communication skills (Required).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills (Required).
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills (Required).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment (Required)
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal clients to ensure guidelines are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Experience with training facilitation preferred.
  • Experience with CampusVue student management software preferred.

Compensation:
  • Salaried — Exempt | Full-Time.
  • Pay Range: $50,000 — $56,325.
  • Compensation dependent on experience, knowledge, and education level.
