Job description

Our client is an employee-owned, award-winning, architectural practice firm with a proven track record in practical, innovative and economical design. During a history spanning over 60 years, our client has designed some of Canadaโ€™s most notable buildings. They serve both Canadian and International clients with the immediacy and attention of a local service. Their design influence can currently be found in eight of Canadaโ€™s provinces, and in Nunavut.


Our client is looking for a number of experienced Architects who use Revit (Junior to Senior) to work on a number of institutional and healthcare projects in Ottawa, Vancouver, Surrey, Halifax, Toronto and Gatineau.

The Architect will oversee day to day Architecture for a project team, working with production staff, the project manager, consultant and trade partners. Responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with clients throughout the project to answer questions and provide updates regarding progress
  • Performing onsite inspections of work performed by other contractors to ensure quality standards are met
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting problems with computer hardware and software
  • Preparing drawings, sketches, charts and other visual aids to communicate information to others
  • Reviewing architectural drawings to determine if they meet building codes or other regulations
  • Designing building structures by using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings of floor plans, elevations, sections and other views of buildings

Strong communication skills and experience as an Architect/Intern Architect/Architectural Designer on a multi-person project is required. Preference is given to those with healthcare and minimum 2 years of Revit experience required, and basic knowledge of programs such as AUTOCAD are a benefit.
