Key to supporting KLA business is the finance team that partners with corporate and global business organizations to provide expertise and guidance for developing and executing sound business models and practices. The Finance organization consists of operations and corporate finance teams. The operations finance team influences business decisions by gathering the best available operations information, distilling it and making recommendations to our management team on the best course of action. The corporate team provides a broad range of services, such as financial planning, corporate accounting, tax, industry analysis and benchmarking, internal audits, SEC reporting and merger and acquisition support.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

KLA is looking for a Division Controller. The Division Controller is responsible for the full P&L and coordinating and providing finance support for the Division General Manager and his staff, offering continuous career growth and a highly collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • This position works cross-functionally with other teams including Engineering, Applications, Sales, Operations, Marketing, HR.

  • Support annual strategic planning and budgeting process and understanding long term Engineering development roadmaps.

  • Driving Bookings, Shipments and Revenue (BSR) recognition process.

  • Understanding changes in Manufacturing activities for the Division. Including Headcount planning, production capacity, inventory controls.

  • Responsible for understanding changes in Cost of service for the Division, including spending on installation, warranty and other cost of service

  • Lead and drive Opex Spend vs target alignment.

  • Own quarter end close process for the business, including variance analysis of actual to forecasts, balance sheet review and reconciliations.

  • Own financial projections and return on investment models for engineering programs and present financials product life cycle (PLC) review meetings to executive management

  • Run and develop a highly dedicated finance team of financial analysts

  • Understanding of customer deals and analysis of sales trends including product transitions

  • Review and improve financial and business models to provide the business additional insight to make decisions on improving the business.

  • Lead process improvement projects.

  • Partner with senior organizational leaders to understand business requirements, investment needs, and to develop an excellent understanding of cost drivers and P&Ls for their respective groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and a high sense of ownership and accountability

  • Solid accounting foundation with the ability to apply accounting principles to financial analysis

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, experience using automation to improve reporting efficiency is a plus

  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, including the ability to synthesize large or complex datasets.

  • Working knowledge of AI enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and decision support.

  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fastpaced environment, prioritize effectively, and multitask.

  • High attention to detail and quality of work, with a strong motivation to learn and improve.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and proactively solve problems independently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree plus 8 years' experience; or Masters' Degree plus 6 years' experience; or PhD plus 3 years' experience; 2+ years of management experience
