Requisition Summary

The Vehicle Integration Validation group is responsible for validation testing and system acceptance of engine, transmission, vehicle, aftertreatment, controls, ADAS and connected vehicle technologies used on PACCAR products.

The Vehicle Integration Validation Project Engineer leads major validation programs supporting vehicle integration, powertrain controls, software, and related vehicle systems. This role develops validation strategies, resolves complex technical issues, and provides technical leadership across cross-functional engineering teams.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Lead major vehicle integration and validation Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) projects involving vehicle, powertrain and controls systems.
  • Develop validation strategies, test plans, acceptance criteria, and execution plans to support program objectives.
  • Serve as a technical lead for system acceptance testing and cross-functional validation activities.
  • Collaborate with PACCAR divisions, suppliers, and engineering teams to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and support product development.
  • Analyze complex vehicle, software, and systems integration issues and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Coordinate validation resources, schedules, budgets, risks, and program metrics for assigned projects.
  • Drive improvements in validation methods, tools, and processes to increase testing effectiveness and product quality.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the organization.
  • Present technical findings, recommendations, and program status to engineering leadership and management.
  • Travel up to 15% as required to support testing and program activities.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in commercial vehicle, automotive, powertrain, controls, software, validation, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, controls, software integration, and validation principles.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems using sound engineering judgment with incomplete or ambiguous information.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with broad objectives and minimal technical supervision.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring capability.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline required, MS preferred
