Job description

Wallace Montgomery is seeking aWater Resources Project Engineer, with at least 7 years of professional experience, to work in our Hunt Valley, Maryland office. This individual will be exposed to a variety of project types, including transportation related water resources design, MS4, TMDL, bridge hydraulics, floodplain modeling, etc. As a Project Engineer, you may be assigned complex projects, will provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for diverse clients across the mid-Atlantic region. This position offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Essential Functions: include the following.

  1. Provide supervision of technical work performed by others.
  2. Coordinate technical work among departments.
  3. Perform duties necessary to develop design documents, studies and/or reports in accordance with appropriate standards.
  4. Serve as client contact.
  5. Assist in the coordination of subconsultant activities.
  6. Participate in presentations such as public meetings.
  7. Monitor compliance with scope of work.
  8. Implement quality control / quality assurance procedures.
  9. Monitor project schedules and budgets. Initiate corrective action as necessary.
  10. Perform/monitor project filing and archiving to ensure project records are maintained in accordance with company policies.
  11. Provide training and guidance to others.
  12. Monitor current design trends/methodologies related to their area of expertise to ensure that the company remains up to date with software, training needs and similar issues.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
  14. Could assist Partners and VPs on projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Deg ree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • Professional Engineering License required
  • 5-10 years' experience
  • Maryland SHA and local County experience preferred .
