Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer who will work with our Industrial Construction teams on project sites. This position is responsible for ensuring that the project(s) runs smoothly and if any issues occur, they are corrected immediately. This position will report to the Project Manager.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a daily project diary and help establish project priorities.
  • Daily timecard entry and approval.
  • Track and record project costs, production quantities, yield statistics, and onsite inventory counts.
  • Compile cycle times and production information and log this information for historical data.
  • Gather pay item quantities and collect information on extra work items.
  • Conduct timely billing and reporting to maximize profit margins and positive cash flow.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management degree.
  • Strong computer skills required with a special emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to work both in field and office settings and an ability to work in a high production, fast moving environment.

Preferred:

  • A valid driver license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
  • Must be a team player.

Work Environment:

  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

Essential Requirements:

  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
