Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Engineer I to join our team. The Project Engineer I works within the Project Management team to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and on schedule. The Project Engineer I is responsible for document control for each project to include Meeting Minutes, Change Orders, RFIs, and Submittals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently, while ensuring a welcoming and professional work environment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers in day-to-day tasks throughout the construction process.
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-construction documentation for tenant meetings and subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs and maintain related logs and files.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track Submittals and maintain related logs and files.
  • Prepare and track Change Order Requests to the owners.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track Subcontractor Change Orders.
  • Distribute key project documentation, including meeting minutes, RFIs, and submittals, to project team.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs and maintain related logs.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track submittals for approval, ensuring all files are accurately maintained.
  • Distribute and communicate approved submittals to aligned subcontractor.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Record, compile, transcribe, and distribute OAC Meeting Minutes, and other meetings as necessary to ensure clear communication among project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files and records, ensuring all documentation is accessible and organized for project team reference.
  • Assist the Project Manager with weekly updates to the owner.
  • Assist in the project closeout process by gathering and tracking documentation as required by project ownership and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the business.

  • 1-3 years of experience in construction project coordination or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and industry standards.
  • Experience working with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet) is a plus.
