The Project Engineer plays an important role in bringing projects to life by supporting both project management and field teams throughout every phase of construction. This position coordinates critical project documentation, submittals, RFIs, pricing, and cost analysis while helping keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving toward successful completion.

 Responsibilities
  • Manage project contract documents, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, ASIs, bulletins, RFQs, and change-related documentation.
  • Maintain current project drawings and specifications throughout the duration of the project.
  • Scan, organize, and upload project documents, correspondence, and emails into OnBase.
  • Solicit and review quotes from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain job-specific subcontractor documentation, as applicable.
  • Prepare complete submittal packages, including cover sheets, product data, maintenance information, safety data sheets, LEED documentation, and shop drawings.
  • Draft, submit, and track RFIs.
  • Assist with project forecasting, cost tracking, and cost analysis.
  • Research new products, manufacturers, materials, and pricing options.
  • Prepare cost breakdowns and color-coded project drawings.
  • Assist with change order takeoffs, pricing, and supporting documentation.
  • Support project quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Assist with project closeout, including collecting and organizing required closeout documentation.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Salary Range: $60,000โ€“$80,000 per year, based on experience.
Qualifications

  • A college degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent construction field experience.
  • The ability to read and interpret contract documents, construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting, scheduling, estimating, and change management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, products, and industry practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
