POSITION SUMMARY:

The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, organization, and integrity of manufacturing documentation to support Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain operations. This position coordinates document control processes, Bill of Material (BOM) and ERP master data updates, supports configuration management, and ensures controlled documentation is accurate, current, and available to support manufacturing operations. The role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to support engineering changes, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring documentation is released in alignment with production requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS:

  • Coordinate document control activities to ensure engineering and manufacturing documentation is accurate, compliant, and available to support operations.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring timely implementation and communication across impacted functions.
  • Create, maintain, and audit Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, part masters, and related ERP master data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation and ERP master data are complete and released in alignment with production schedules and new product introductions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to support engineering changes, product transfers, and ongoing manufacturing operations.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of the electronic document management system (DMS), document control standards, templates, and filing structures.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing controlled documentation and maintaining compliance with established procedures.
  • Identify and implement improvements to document control processes, engineering change workflows, ERP data integrity, document accuracy, and overall document control effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Works in a manufacturing and inspection environment. Moderate walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching required. Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. Operates tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with company policies and procedures. Required to maintain a clean and safe work area. Must follow established safety procedures. Responsible for correcting unsafe conditions when possible and reporting hazards to management or the Safety Committee immediately. Travel may be required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical coursework preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in document control, engineering coordination, manufacturing administration, or a related role.
  • Experience maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and ERP master data required.
  • Experience coordinating Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or precision manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred) and electronic document management systems required.
  • Experience supporting ISO- regulated quality management systems preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM coursework or certification, ASQ certification, or formal training in document control or configuration management preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of document control and configuration management principles.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
