Waldinger has an opportunity for a qualified Project Engineer - Construction in our Independence, MO location.


Job Summary:
Plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of projects, which may include exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, storms, and other environmental factors. Works closely with managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.


Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Coordination: Assists in the development and implementation of project plans and schedules. Submits RFIs and manages documentation, as needed. Coordinates project activities and resources to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Engineering Support: Performs technical calculations, analyses, and evaluations related to construction materials, methods, and specifications. Reviews engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Provides technical support and guidance to field personnel on construction methods and procedures.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Monitors activities to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and quality standards. Conducts inspections and quality audits to identify and resolve deficiencies promptly. Documents and reports quality issues to manager and recommends corrective actions.
• Cost Control and Budget: Assists in monitoring project costs and expenditures against approved budgets. Tracks and reports project expenses, including labor, materials, and equipment. Identifies cost-saving opportunities and assists in implementing measures to control project costs.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicates effectively with project team members, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Resolves project-related issues and conflicts through effective negotiation and problem-solving.
 • Client Network: Builds and maintains client network by taking advantage of client events, industry conferences, local associations, and Project Manager mentorship.


Requirements:
• 0-2 years of construction, engineering, or related field experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Moderate Travel
