Job description

Project Manager - Dev Sales

The Musco Construction Services Team has an opening for a Project Manager in Oskaloosa, IA. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management or related field preferred. Working knowledge of communication networks. Related work experience also considered.
  • Must be willing to travel globally.
  • Ability to interpret and understand project specifications, construction, and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge related to construction processes and practices.
  • Displays excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer oriented; Word and Excel necessary; basic AutoCAD skills are beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Flexible and tolerates change.
  • Must be willing to travel weekly to remote project locations; with overnight stays 2-4 nights/week on average. 130-150 travel days a year should be planned, but subject to change as demand requires.
  • Energetic and enjoys working with people.
  • Maintains high standard of professionalism.
  • Team and goal oriented.

Other Special Requirements:

  • 60%-70% Overnight travel will be typical

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Once the Purchase Order is received, be the lead point of contact for internal and external communications and processes.
  • Assist the sales representative with pre-sale site visits as needed.
  • Develop Muscos scope of work.
  • Create and evaluate RFQs for subcontractors.
  • Coordinate delivery, storage, and installation of Musco projects.
  • Process Change Orders as determined and communicate to the Musco Team.
  • Manage on-site installation.
  • Commission lighting systems to verify installation and operation of system.
  • Provide customer training on the operation of the lighting system controls.
  • Ensure final inspections are completed and provide customers with project close-out report upon project completion.
  • Approve payment of invoices and notify Credit department to final billing of projects.
  • Provide technical support as required during installation and commissioning of lighting systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
