Project Overview:

Bechtel's Americas Public Infrastructure business is building a dedicated business development team to pursue growth across targeted the Americas markets. Based in Reston, Virginia, this early-career role supports the BD team with research, analysis, and proposal development as Bechtel establishes and grows its presence in the region.

Job Summary:

In this position, you will support Bechtel's Americas Public Infrastructure business. Working closely with senior business development colleagues, you will help build and maintain information on key contacts, customers, and partners; conduct market and competitor research; and contribute to proposal development. This is a developing-professional role that offers strong growth opportunity as you build expertise in international infrastructure business development. Your work will help expand Bechtel's reach across the Americas and support the growth and success of the business.  #LI-JL1 

Major Responsibilities:
  • Assists in preparing and maintaining market profiles, customer profiles, and business development activity reports for targeted markets
  • Conducts research on customers and competition and shares findings with the business development team
  • Maintains records of prospective projects and competitor information
  • Supports engagement with new prospects and customers under the direction of senior business development team members
  • Helps develop marketing information for use by the business development team
  • Supports the proposal development effort, including producing and assembling content
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 0-3 years of relevant experience. Recent graduates with relevant internship or academic experience are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Developing professional who applies acquired knowledge and skills to assignments of moderate scope
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in international infrastructure business development
  • Spanish language ability is strongly preferred given the regional focus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Hands-on experience using AI and generative-AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate research, analysis, and content development is a strong differentiator—a capability we are actively building into the team
  • Based in or able to work from Reston, Virginia; eligible to work in the United States
