Job Summary:
The Business Development Senior Associate plays a pivotal role in driving local and industry revenue growth by enhancing market presence and identifying new business opportunities aligned with firm and industry strategies. Collaborating closely with the BD Market Leader and their team, this role involves developing and executing strategies to generate new leads, opportunities, and revenue. Key responsibilities include conducting extensive research, qualifying prospects, and cultivating new business relationships to build a robust pipeline of opportunities. This position demands an energetic and diligent approach to business development and customer relationship management, working alongside local market leadership-such as Market Leaders, Practice Leads, Principals, Directors-and partnering with analysts, experienced sellers, and BD leadership in a supportive environment.
Job Duties:
  • Generates interest and creates opportunities through outbound prospecting via emailing, calling, and social media selling techniques
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams including Principals and market stakeholders
  • Contributes to the production of a pursuit/pipeline report for assigned office/industry
  • Participates in industry group programs as defined by the BD Market Leader
  • Learns and develops an understanding of all business services to identify opportunities for clients
  • Attends relevant market events and develops a professional network that is responsive to creating new opportunities
  • Researches, responds, and engages in qualifying inbound leads across multiple industries to develop account intelligence and identify business development opportunities
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
  • High School Diploma and five (5) or more years of business development experience in a professional services environment or industry relevant firm, required, OR
  • Bachelor's degree, required; major in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Communications, preferred; and three (3) or more years of business development, marketing, and/or project management related experience in a professional services environment, required

Experience:
  • Successful track record of interacting and building relationships with clients (internal and/or external), required
  • Prior experience working in the professional services direct sales industry or in an analyst, development, or marketing role at a financial services firm, including but not limited to experience with accounting firms, investment banking or private equity firms, personnel recruiting, business journals sales, financial consulting, business advisory services, and/or banking industry, preferred

License/Certifications:
  • N/A

Software:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, preferred
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo, preferred
  • Prior experience with a Client Relationship Management tool (CRM), preferred
