Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000 per annum

Westview Projects is a general contracting company that operates in Eastern Ontario. Headquartered in Ottawa, Westview Projects specializes in offering construction management services to institutional, multi-residential, commercial and retail clients.
We are seeking an experiencedProject Coordinator. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting with construction management activities, including document control, tendering, change order management and estimation.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the totalconstruction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule and quality.
  • Assist with monitoring project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety of environment, and quality control.
  • Interface with project team, client representative, architect representative and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site tours, safety inspections and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
  • Assist with project closeout.
  • Assist in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and/or participating in proposals and presentations.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-year college diploma or degree in the architectural or engineering stream
  • A minimum of 4+ years progressive construction experience leading up to a Project Coordinator role.
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, problem solving and timelines.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
  • Ability to understand and employ engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods and procedures.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and trades people.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems related to construction, sequencing and staffing.
  • Comfortable with project management software programs, such as Jonas Premier, Plan Grid and Blue Beam.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
