FIC America Corp. is a global tier I automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively recruiting for a Production Control Manager. Our manufacturing operation supports metal stamping, welding and mechanical assembly.
Essential Job Functions
  • Act as a liaison between customers and production to ensure the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between or within departments
  • Planning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
  • Forecasting production and customer demands
  • Dealing with unique circumstances and special requests
  • Problem solving in regards to shipping errors, material shortage, new project launches, and cancellation of orders
  • Analyzing inventory usage, scrap, and shrinkage
  • Develop long-term goals and strategies to meet business objectives for Hoshin
  • Execute decisions based on business conditions in congruence with corporate vision
  • Gather and analyze information from work sites to identify root causes in resolving business issues
  • Employ 8-Step Problem Solving to resolve problems for continual improvement
  • Direct and assign work schedules, assignments, tasks, and duties
  • Train and develop employees to perform job duties according to company procedures and policies for safety and accuracy
  • Prepare departmental reports and present them to executive management
  • Collaborate with other Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and team members in sharing information to address business needs
  • Develop and implement standard work instructions

Other Job Functions
  • Comply with FIC's Safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards

Requirements
  • ERP experience required and implementation experience a plus
  • Experience working within Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier
  • 8+ years of experience in production or inventory control is preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years in a management role
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior manufacturing industry experience
  • Knowledgeable in Shipping, Receiving, Order Selection, and Logistics
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/ERP
  • Strong experience in production planning & scheduling
  • Experience in managing both internal & external supply chain
  • Strong project management, process development, and customer relations skill sets
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends on an as needed basis
  • ISO/TS knowledge is preferred

Pay Range $110,000 - $130,000 yearly based on qualifications and experience
