Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to perform order entry of incoming test requests and other scheduled tasks under direction of Office Manager or detailed procedures. Perform technical review of client PO's to ensure compliance.

Salary: $20- $23/hr DOE 

Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming shipments & assist with customer pickup and return of samples
  • Review customer PO's, and enter work orders into the Labman system
  • Verify that orders received include all necessary paperwork to allow for proper testing of samples
  • Contact customers over PO discrepancies or to obtain additional test detail 
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers, assisting them with order status updates
  • Distribute entered sample/material to required processing departments
  • Work with Production and Laboratory personnel to expedite work
  • Insure that requirements for Subcontracting of work are met and generate required documentation, upon request
  • Alert staff to expedite/ rush work and follow-up on issues
  • Promptly address revised PO's for work in progress by entering the new PO's into the system and communicating changes to appropriate department supervisor 
  • Interact with internal departments on questions or issues related to particular projects
  • Assists with coordination of production, quality and process improvements
  • Will occasionally function in the role of Quality Administrator for typing certifications and emailing to the customer
  • Ensures all work is performed in accordance with company safety and quality policies and procedures and regulatory agency regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lab management
Skills / Qualifications
  • To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical discipline is preferred
  • Completion of a two-year technical program or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • Relevant experience in logistics, customer service or a materials testing or manufacturing environment desired
