Job description

Job Title: Project Submissions Support
Reports to (title): Project Solutions & Support Supervisor
Department: Customer Experience

Basic Purpose:

To accurately enter client and submission information into the Laboratory Management Information System (LIMS)
To ensure all submission issues are resolved and pricing is accurate

Key Accountability/Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate entry of sample information into computer database efficiently and accurately
Ensure client samples are entered into LIMS and approved in a timely manner according to sample holding time, test code, due date, and / or received date
Effectively execute to Project Submission support KPIs
Review file entry information (including price, parameters, contact information and client specific needs) to ensure it complies with client and/or regulatory requirements
Respond to and resolve any client submission issues
Receive and interact with clients in a friendly and approachable manner
Adhere to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy
Support and comply with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program
Participate, when requested in department and health and safety meetings
Maintain training records and relevant qualifications
All other responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Knowledge:

College Diploma in Sciences, preferably chemistry or environmental related and/or have the equivalent experience
Experience in a customer service and/or laboratory environment is an asset
Strong customer service attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service and quality results an asset
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
Attentiveness to detail and ability to manage a diverse workload within a fast-paced environment with changing multiple priorities and frequent interruptions
Strong prioritization skills
Effective time management, decision making, excellent listening, problem-solving, planning and organizing skills
You possess an energetic and keen personality with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to change is required
You are ethical, dynamic, motivated and results oriented

Working Conditions:

High level of work production in fast-paced lab environment
Flexible working hours including weekends, overtime and shift work
Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines
Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs) and may involve long periods of standing
Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment
