Project Manager

Reporting To: Mike Robert
Description
Lead piping support system projects from start to finish, ensuring success for both clients and internal teams. You'll guide projects through design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and final delivery, coordinating across departments to keep everything running smoothly. Using your project management expertise, technical knowledge, and strong communication skills, you'll track progress, solve challenges, and maintain alignment with project goals and timelines. This role focuses on managing custom, moderately to highly complex engineered-to-order systems.
What You Will Do
  • You will be supporting power generation, low carbon power generation and our nation's defense.
  • Primary point of contact with the customer for project communications. Liaise with internal teams (sales, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality). Ensure timely flow of information.
  • Ensure quality specifications (ASC's and customers') are met, on-time delivery and expenses are on-budget.
  • Review customer specifications. Ensure alignment between customer requirements, ASC capabilities and equipment ordered.
  • Develop project plans, workflows, timelines, critical paths and determine potential risks. Manage any changes that occur.
  • Work with management to ensure sufficient resources are estimated and allocated to each project.
  • Lead project kick-off and engineering review meetings with customers.
  • Coordinate with team members for timely completion of assigned tasks/responsibilities.
  • Coordinate for the resolution of a range of engineering, manufacturing and quality technical questions that may arise during project execution and verification. Seek the assistance of subject matter experts when appropriate.
  • Coordinate for and lead factory verification visits, which are typically at our facility in North Kingstown.
  • When needed, visit client sites to establish trusted relationships, further project goals and resolve issues.
  • Contribute actively to project management process development and company process improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of critical or competitive information.

What You Will Have
  • Owns every aspect of the relationship with the client. Satisfies customers. Sets the stage for repeat business.
  • Anticipates and resolves issues. Able to turn around his/her projects when faced with adverse situations.
  • Ability to multi-task proficiently, to be able to manage multiple projects across at least industries that we serve.
  • Experienced in or willing to learn techniques for managing project scope, schedule, resources, quality, budget and costs.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, project management, management or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of mechanical engineering and/or project management experience. Experience leading projects in fulfillment of customer contracts is most relevant.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects including scope quality, timelines, budgets, costs, and resources
  • Prior experience working with piping support systems, in power plants, nuclear reactors or naval applications is highly desired.
