General Responsibilities:

  • Attitude: Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit. Take ownership of your work and focus on providing solutions.
  • Marketing: Represent Sense Engineering professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants.
  • Knowledge Development: Enhance your technical expertise and stay current on industry trends and best practices.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structures or building components for new construction, renovation and restoration projects.
  • Perform building evaluations, site reviews, and investigations.
  • Conduct drawing and field reviews for new construction projects.
  • Prepare project proposals, detailed engineering drawings, reports and specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports and related documentation, including Depreciation Reports, Warranty Reviews, Building/Property Condition Assessments, construction documents, and project proposals.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to support clear communication and efficient, timely project delivery.
  • Represent Sense at client meetings and other networking functions with a commitment to exceptional service standards.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous co-op or internship experience in the engineering consulting field is considered a strong asset.
  • Registered with or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset.
  • Team player who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required.
