What Will You Be Doing?
  • Support preconstruction activities by assisting with detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and schedule duration development for upcoming projects.
  • Contribute to negotiated and hard bid pursuits by reviewing drawings and specifications, identifying constructability issues, and recommending value engineering solutions.
  • Assist with subcontractor qualification, proposal review, scope development, and participation in buyout and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare and track permit applications, ensuring all required licenses and approvals are secured prior to project startup.
  • Promote Wright Construction's safety culture by enforcing established safety procedures, maintaining compliant jobsites, and participating in inspections and audits.
  • Support quality management efforts through routine inspections and enforcement of project quality standards to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment by tracking needs, managing deliveries, and aligning resources with the project schedule.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, logs, and other essential records.
  • Monitor and update project schedules in Primavera P6 - tracking critical path activities and communicating schedule impacts to the project team.
  • Assist with project controls and financial management, including progress reporting, pay applications, cost tracking, monthly projections, and budget monitoring.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractor work onsite confirming adherence to contract documents, schedule requirements, and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams - including operations, estimating, scheduling, safety, and quality - to support seamless execution across all phases of construction.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges early, working with the project team to implement solutions.
  • Foster a culture of first-time quality and continuous improvement among team members and trade partners.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support overall project objectives and successful delivery.

Position Requirements
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field experience.A college degree is not required with previous construction experience.
  • 1 - 5 years of relevant experience including assisting with ground up construction projects in diverse sectors including education, municipal, retail, and tenant improvement.
  • Knowledge of constructability.
  • Experience collaborating with project teams, including managing and guiding subcontractors, and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Motivate, drive, and adhere to all safety and compliance requirements.
  • Intermediate Excel user familiar with how to use pivot tables, functions, etc.
  • Experience using Vista by Viewpoint and Primavera P6.
  • Willingness to identify business development, marketing, and growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to learn and succeed.
