SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Project Coordinator

Salary- $65,000- $80,000

Working in Sarnia, On

The Project Coordinator supports the successful planning and execution of heavy lift, transport, and related project activities. Working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams, this role helps coordinate schedules, resources, documentation, communication, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Support Project Managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate mobilization and demobilization activities for personnel, equipment, and project resources.
  • Track project progress, milestones, risks, and action items, and escalate issues where required.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, invoices, and closeout records.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and invoice administration.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular project updates, reports, meeting notes, and status summaries.
  • Help ensure project activities are carried out in accordance with safety requirements, company procedures, and client expectations.
  • Support the coordination of engineering, operations, and logistics activities to achieve efficient project delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and supporting process improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Post-secondary education in business, project management, engineering, construction management, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-3 years experience in project coordination, operations, logistics, construction, heavy lift, transport, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using project management or SAP  systems is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
