Job description

American Display and Fixture, a designer and manufacturer of award-winning, quality displays for various markets, is seeking a motivated Project Manager to assist with managing projects from start to finish while ensuring stakeholders are updated on key project details. This role is ideal for someone who has strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, enjoys working with data, and can use Excel to help organize information, identify inconsistencies, and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Review projects and disseminate key information to appropriate personnel, ensuring orders are released and necessary items are purchased.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and internal departments to ensure all items are positioned appropriately and on schedule.
  • Analyze and interpret project data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and trends that impact timelines and budgets.
  • Monitor data accuracy in project tracking systems, identifying inconsistencies or bad data and taking corrective action.
  • Proactively communicate the status of projects and associated tasks with appropriate personnel (Sales, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Design, Shipping, etc.) to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Facilitate problem resolution both internally and externally while escalating issues appropriately.
  • Communicate changes and requirements to clients and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Operations to obtain technical insights and resolve project challenges efficiently.
  • Initiate and lead launch/kickoff meetings as needed with stakeholders (Design, Engineering, Project Management, Estimating, and Production).
  • Provide strong customer service and build effective client relationships.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to improve project tracking, reporting, and overall efficiency.
  • Update information in internal systems with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to identify and address inconsistencies in data, ensuring clean and actionable information for decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Ability to identify issues, ask good questions, analyze options, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience working with data—proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation), ERP systems, or other database tools is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use tact and diplomacy to foster teamwork while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
