Job description

Raineri Construction is seeking a qualified and professional candidate with adequate education and/or experience for the position of Project Engineer. The PE assists the Project Manager in the administration of most aspects of the bidding, pre-construction, and construction phases of all construction projects. With proven performance, this position can lead to a Project Manager role, if desired.  $74K to $87K, based on experience.

Not a remote position.  *** Must reside locally in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area to be considered for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Preconstruction

  • Assist in creating project schedules
  • Coordinate the receipt, review, and distribution of all project submittals and required shop drawings
  • Create and distribute sub-contracts and other project documentation
  • Create material orders (purchase orders)
  • Coordinate all product deliveries required to achieve the project schedule
  • Photo document job site
  • Create traffic control plans

Construction

  • Assist in the management of Production Tracking
  • Coordinate all product deliveries required to achieve the project schedule
  • Coordinate the receipt and distribution of all records, close out, and warranty documentation for the project
  • Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in quality control and safety of the project during field inspections
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with updating and administering the project schedule, including the utilization of scheduling software
  • Coordinate the receipt and distribution of all records, close out, and warranty documentation for the project
  • Provide support to the project team to enhance the established project goals
  • Assist PM with Procore maintenance.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other business related Bachelor's degree OR
  • Two years experience in Business Administration with construction based knowledge


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Intermediate or above proficiency in MS Office applications, most specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Procore experience preferred 
  • Experience reading site plans, submittals, and taking construction measurements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, deadline driven and highly organized
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
  • Effective listener with the ability to understand the needs of team members at all levels
  • Completed, or will complete within one year, the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Able to traverse uneven walking/working surfaces at jobsites.
  • Able to climb stairs at jobsites.
  • Able to wear all required personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
