  • Bachelor’s of Science or Arts Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience working with systems
  • 3+ years’ experience with an SDLC, system development methodologies and requirements gathering and including business process mapping
  • Previous Business Analysis experience
  • Ability to translate business needs into system specifications, familiar with agile framework and processes-Epic, Feature and Story, creation processes
  • Experience working with project teams from project initiation to closing
  • Excellent critical thinking, process analysis and mapping skills (Visio, Lucid)
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and listening skills
  • Good oral and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred:
  • PMI-PBA or CBAP (in good standing) or CAPM (in good standing)
  • Agile Practice Certification – CSM or AAC
  • Building or Construction experience
Responsibilities:
  • The Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between the business and IT departments of our company.
  • The role requires the Business Analyst to be detail-oriented and highly innovative to translate the business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Responsibilities include analysis and assessment needed for the identification of system requirements and functional definition of planned system changes within an application or in considering a new technology solution.
  • The Business Analyst works with the project manager, the business, and IT Teams to identify and implement system solutions that support more efficient processes within a system as well as any areas that may impact the system performance.
  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • IT Strategy and Planning:
    • Demonstrates business and system expertise by problem solving, providing analysis and system solution options, functional specifications, executes project tasks.
    • Assists with the identification, analysis and resolution of issues of applications issues
    • Provides analysis needed to support new software implementation and enhancement business cases.
  • User Experience Analysis:
    • Creates project level documentation for current state and future state solution, responsible for meeting notes, key decisions and risks.
    • Documents requirements for business requirement and design specifications
    • Works effectively within an agile framework, assisting in sprint planning, creating user stories and acceptance criteria; provide testing support and reporting support.
    • Provides documentation for business requirements and design specifications.
  • Requirements Elicitation:
    • Facilitates requirements gathering sessions with different areas of the business to identify and solution for end-to-end solutions by incorporating business processes, re-engineering options, or new system functionality or capability
  • Requirements Definition and Management:
    • Develops functional, reporting, security, technical requirements for the business groups and work closely with developers on design and testing.
    • Works closely with developers on the design, development and testing of system or reporting requirements.
    • Works closing with QA to support testing
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Manages and coordinates project related tasks and activities and ensure completion timely to meet due dates.
    • Manages small project teams/projects as needed.
    • Can work with QA or act as unit tester for new functions and features to ensure business needs are met.
    • Works with the entire project team (project manager, quality assurance, and technical team) on the needed project or deployment support.
    • Acts as liaison between IT and the business groups
  • Project Analysis
    • Adept at conducting analysis into project-related issues and products.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and drive solutions.
    • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
    • Organize and disseminate complex information to stakeholders.
    • Identify and resolve constraints, risk, issues and key decisions
    • Clearly communicate project risks and issues to stakeholders
    • Strong collaboration, influencing, and listening skills
    • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Tracking and Reporting
    • Create clear and concise documentation or information, including issue, risk & decision logs and status reports.
