Job description

Admin Assistant

The Admin Assistant provides administrative support for the Department of the Navy Office of Administration (DON OA) – Information Technology Division (ITD).

Responsibilities

• Manages calendars, coordinates meeting logistics – including room scheduling, invites, and VTC connections – and assists with travel arrangements using the Defense Travel System (DTS).

• Maintains office supplies, proofread and correct program and acquisition documentation, and prepare minutes for events.

• Uses common office equipment, e.g., facsimile (fax) machines, copiers, projectors, and PC printers. Performs high quality project support.

• Maintains logs, records, archives and/or working files.

• Consolidate and finalize presentations, staff charts, weekly activity reports, etc.

• Report and record meeting minutes.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 3 years experience and/or AS/AA or 2yr Tech School; or HS/GED w/ 10 years or military experience E3 and up

• Ability to work with government-provided software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and PowerPoint)

• Secret Clearance
