JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior level Project Manager needed for Transmission and Distribution major projects. Individual will coordinate the successful development and execution of project plans, including safety, scope, cost, schedule, cash flow, quality and risk for large multi-discipline complex projects. Provides management and coordination to ensure project deliverables
are met, completed on-time and within the established cost constraints. Works with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinatesthe development of project plans, including project scope, cost estimates,schedule and cash flow.
  • Projectplans will also include consideration for safety, environment, land use,regulation, human resources, communication, procurement, reliability,quality and risk. Executes the project plan upon approval.
  • Coordinatesacquisition of human resources, equipment, permits, land and land rights.
  • Monitorsand controls the project, including safety, scope, cost, schedule, cashflow, quality and risk. Measures and communicates project performance tocustomers and stakeholders.
  • Manageschanges to the project plan. Ensures all project objectives are achieved.
  • Workswith customers and stakeholders to develop and evaluate projectalternatives.
  • Coordinatesthe development of the project team, including stakeholders and functionalgroup members.
  • Theteam may include personnel from transmission planning; distributionplanning; civil, substation and transmission engineering; projectcontrols; lines construction and maintenance; substation construction andmaintenance; system protection; telecommunications; meter services;construction administration; distribution design; system operations; landresources; environmental services; procurement; government a+airs; majoraccounts; economic development and legal departments as the projectrequires.
  • Supportsdevelopment, approval, and administration of the business unit ten-yearplan for capital investment.
  • Coordinatesnegotiation, execution, and administration of agreements with customers,suppliers, service providers, and contractor resources. Coordinatesproject close-out, including final acceptance of project deliverables;transfer of ownership; status of project id; project accounting audit andtrue-up; and final project report.

Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from anaccredited school; 7 or more years of related experience in utility designand/or utility experience; and 2 or more years of project management experience.Experience managing Large Generator Interconnections a plus.
  • Directing,coordinating, and reviewing the work of multi-discipline project team.Analytical, interpersonal and communication.
  • Demonstratedknowledge of Utility engineering practices with an emphasis ontransmission and substation design; critical path method scheduling; workbreakdown structure; utility accounting practices; economic analysis;company policies, rules and regulations; construction methods; contractadministration; equipment specifications; property rights; and local,state and federal permitting.
