Job description

Thank you for considering Progyny! We are seeking a Vice President, Sales to join our Commercial Sales organization and drive the growth of Progyny's Family Building solution. In this individual contributor role, you will serve as a strategic sales executive and subject matter expert, partnering with large employers, benefits leaders, and healthcare consultants to expand awareness of Progyny's differentiated offering and drive new business. Using a consultative sales approach, you will identify, develop, and close complex enterprise opportunities while building trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and consistently exceeds ambitious growth targets. Frequent travel is required for this role.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to build a robust pipeline and consistently exceed annual sales goals.
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close new business opportunities with employer groups using a consultative sales approach.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to benefits executives, healthcare consultants, brokers, and other key stakeholders by understanding their business priorities and aligning Progyny's solutions to their needs.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Progyny's Family Building solution and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with benefits consultants and other market influencers to generate new opportunities and accelerate sales.
  • Gather customer and market feedback and partner with internal teams to help shape commercial strategy and product evolution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Client Success, Product, and Implementation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce CRM.
  • Stay informed on market trends and the competitive landscape to effectively position Progyny's differentiated value proposition.
About You
  • 8+ years of experience selling healthcare benefits, healthcare technology, or point solutions to large employer groups.
  • Demonstrated success working with or selling through national benefits consulting firms and advisors that influence employer purchasing decisions.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding enterprise sales quotas.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to build credibility and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations in both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM for pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Passion for improving access to family building benefits and advancing innovative healthcare solutions.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 30% for client meetings, industry conferences, and internal meetings.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $185,000.
