Job description

Position Summary: Serves asprincipal advisor regarding all financial matterswhich may affect financial success of hospital.
1) Develops annual operating and capitalbudgets for hospital.
2) Develops the annual long-range financialplan of hospital.
3) Prepares appropriate financial reportsnecessary to show overall financial performance.
4) Helps develop strategies to maintain thefinancial well being of the hospital.
5) Invest excess short term and long termcash and/or investment portfolios to maximize the return on investmentwhile maintaining the safety of the investments.
6) Supervises and directs the followingdepartments: Accounting, Data Processing, Collections, Business Office, and Insurance.
7) Accountable for preparation and review ofcontracts with preferred providers.
8) Accountable for all business officefunctions including billing systems and procedures for the accuratebilling and collection of accounts.
9) Ensure accuracy and efficiency of chargemaster and complianceof regulatory requirements relating to billing
10) Work within GAAP in the accounting system and maintainappropriate and accurate financial records to present to administration. Also, work with audit group to maintainappropriate reporting
11) Ensure all financial reporting responsibilities are welldocumented and maintained within compliance for the facility
12) Responsible for any and all duties related to the expenditure andrevenue cycle within the facility.
