Join a leader in the professional security industry. PFC Safeguards is seeking a motivated Armed Residential Security Agent in the Austin, Texas area.

POSITION TITLE

Armed Residential Security Agent

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Armed Residential Security Agent provides security at a designated client residence(s). This role focuses on the protection of life and property while maintaining continuous situational awareness and reporting real-time observations within the residential environment.

WORKING HOURS

We are currently hiring agents for overnight 12-hour shifts only. Full-time and flex opportunities are available, but all open positions are for overnight schedules.

RATE OF PAY

$45 to $55 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide residential security services to protect clients and their residential property.
  • Maintain perimeter security to deter and detect unauthorized access.
  • Screen visitors and control access to the resident/residence in accordance with established procedures and client direction.
  • Monitor for, prevent and respond to intrusion attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, disturbances and security incidents.
  • Coordinate with public safety agencies and first responders as required.
  • Prioritize protection of the principal(s), residential structures and client property or possessions.
  • Perform security checks of the estate property in coordination with the client or designated representatives.
  • Adjust security posture as directed to address evolving conditions, risks or neighborhood concerns.
  • Conduct continuous threat, risk and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security concerns.
  • Maintain frequent, professional interactions with clients and family members while ensuring discretion and confidentiality.
  • Operate motor vehicles safely and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a security team.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • GED or High School Diploma, some college or a degree preferred.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a position related to the essential functions.
  • Must have a valid US State issued driver’s license at hire and throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid US passport during entire tenure of employment.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize workload.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/MS 365.
  • Must possess a minimum Level III Texas Commissioned Security Officer License with Level IV (PPO) preferred before hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/TOOLS/EQUIPMENT
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on an LED screen, laptop and/or other general office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use cellular devices in an effective manner.
  • Ability to be mobile as needed for an assignment which can include driving a vehicle, walking, and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Will actively have need to listen, see, and speak with clarity.
  • May work with children and dogs/pets.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work may be performed inside of an office environment and/or private residence.
  • Work may be performed outside in weather and elements on a very limited basis.
