Job Requirements
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
  • Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required

  • BLS required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification preferred
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • Experience caring for patients with chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, drips, and advanced respiratory support
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in rapidly changing clinical situations
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications safely and monitor patient response
  • Provide skilled Progressive Care Unit nursing care for patients with complex cardiac and respiratory needs
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and temporary pacing when indicated
  • Manage drips and support patients requiring advanced respiratory therapies
  • Coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Educate patients and families and advocate for safe, high-quality care
  • Promote patient safety, infection control, and professional teamwork
