Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Weight Loss & Wellness Clinic

Position Type: Part-Time
Location: On-site, Lake Forest, IL.

Compensation: Based on Experience- Starting $ 48.00 an hour

Hours: 16-30 Part Time

Part-Time Schedule- Tuesdays 8-3, Thursdays 12-6, Fridays 8-2, option to alternate Saturday's 8-12

We are a patient-focused weight loss and wellness clinic committed to helping individuals achieve sustainable health outcomes. Our clinic offers a supportive, collaborative environment with structured protocols and leadership support—making this an excellent opportunity for both newer and experienced Nurse Practitioners.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care for medical weight loss services, including evaluations, treatment planning, follow-ups, and ongoing patient education. This role is ideal for an NP looking to grow in the weight loss and wellness space with mentorship and established clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories, assessments, and progress visits

  • Develop and manage individualized weight loss treatment plans under established protocols

  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state scope-of-practice laws

  • Monitor patient progress, labs, and treatment outcomes

  • Provide patient education on weight loss, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and medication use

  • Document accurately and timely in the EMR/EHR system

  • Collaborate with medical assistants, nursing staff, and clinic leadership

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, clinic policies, and regulatory standards

  • Support a positive, compassionate patient experience

Required Qualifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing

  • Board certification (AANP or ANCC)

  • Ability to work independently within established protocols

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable learning new systems and treatment models

  • Additional Certifications

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Experience in weight loss, wellness, primary care, or family medicine

  • New graduates, welcome to apply

  • Interest in preventive care and lifestyle medicine
