The Big 4 internships refer to internship programs offered by the four largest professional services firms: Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young (EY), and KPMG. These internships typically provide experience in auditing, consulting, tax, and advisory services, and are highly competitive for students pursuing careers in accounting, finance, or consulting. Interns often gain practical skills, industry certifications, and networking opportunities that can lead to full-time roles as Programs Interns or related positions.

For a Programs Intern, $20 an hour is generally considered above average for unpaid or low-paid internships, which often pay between minimum wage and $15 per hour. However, pay rates vary by industry, location, and the intern's experience level, so it's important to compare with local standards and the internship's responsibilities.
