Residential Program Director
Salary Range: $64,120 - $70,120 per year
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Program Director to lead a residential program in Lancaster, MA serving boys and young men ages 10-22. The Program Director provides strong leadership, structure, and support while ensuring a safe, positive environment where each young person can succeed.
As Program Director, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, create a supportive residential environment, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the residential program.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop residential staff and program leadership.
  • Create and maintain effective schedules, routines, and programming.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
  • Coordinate services and participate in treatment, team, and family meetings.
  • Provide staff training, professional development, and performance management.
  • Monitor program quality, documentation, licensing, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage staffing, budgets, expenses, and administrative requirements.
  • Collaborate with youth, families, clinicians, community partners, and agency leadership.
  • Respond effectively to critical incidents, challenging situations, and emerging program needs.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and occasional overnight program visits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory, leadership, or administrative experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residential treatment or a similar setting.
  • Experience with strength-based treatment models preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and residential care practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to maintain required CPI, CPR, MAP, and agency certifications.
