Job Description Summary
The Commercial Programs Director at Sonesta Portfolio serves as a strategic leader, responsible for advancing Commercial Programs to optimize sales performance and accelerate revenue growth within the organization. This role encompasses the formulation and execution of strategic plans, oversight of program(s) management, delivery of targeted deliverables thru training, facilitation of cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the highest standards of program effectiveness.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales Effectiveness, the Director provides operational leadership for designated program(s), ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations. The incumbent will work in close partnership with ownerships, on-property and above-property sales teams to drive topline results, develop and refine critical sales process flows, and sustain Sonesta's trajectory of robust growth. Key responsibilities include leading group booking strategies, expanding market share, internal lead generation and spearheading new business development initiatives.
Additionally, the Director will collaborate with senior stakeholders and Sonesta brand leadership to aid the design, implementation, and complete high-impact sales programs. The successful candidate will be accountable for the end-to-end execution of these initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This is a hybrid role 3 days (Tues/Wed/Thurs) in office in our Newton, MA or Orlando, FL offices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Program management and execution: The Director will oversees Commercial Program(s) technology engagement, conducts training, organizes recognition events, and encourage active participation and conversion across the portfolio.
  • Strategic planning and financial oversight: Responsibilities include developing strategies to implement new and current program optimal usage, engaging associates, setting goals and evaluation metrics, managing the budget, and ensuring revenue and expense targets are met.
  • Required qualifications and skills: Candidates should have hotel sales and training experience, with preferred skills in marketing and hospitality industry knowledge. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills are essential, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software. A bachelor's degree is required or equivalent industrial experience.

Pay Range: $140,000 to $150,000. Base pay offer may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific overall experience
