As an AI Intern, you will be fully embedded in a fast-paced environment focused on rapid software development and data analytics as part of the AI Team. You will act as a core contributor to design, build, and deploy software solutions in Python, TypeScript, and Java that will have a strong AI core functionality. This position requires you to be proficient with modern AI tools (Claude, Codex, Copilot) and thoroughly understand the tenets of LLMs to orchestrate data workflows and deliver intelligent, scalable features that directly impact our core business initiatives.

This role reports to: Technology Lead, Shorcan & AI Engineering

This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.

Must Have(s):

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field

  • Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and Java

  • Hands-on experience or high familiarity with modern AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Codex, Copilot)

  • A solid understanding of the core tenets of Large Language Models (LLMs)

  • Dynamic analytical and troubleshooting skills, an appetite for rapid software development, and a proactive attitude toward learning

Nice to Have(s):

  • Experience with data analytics tools or data visualization libraries

  • Experience working with Anthropic, OpenAI or prompt engineering

Note:

  • 4 month Co-op / Internship: September 8, 2026 - December 23, 2026

Salary Range: $25/hour - $28/hour CAD
