Position Overview:The Sales Director is responsible for one or more global customer accounts worldwide. This role directs and oversees the global strategic account planning, acquisitions, customer relationship, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the assigned account(s).
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Global strategic account planning, e.g. developing customer roadmap strategy, defining strategic priorities and setting acquisition targets in each region.
  • Management of acquisitions worldwide, e.g. definition of technical and commercial offer and quote approval for each region.
  • Responsible for generating sales growth and new business opportunities with customer account(s) and end markets
  • Management of the customer relationship through the proper interfaces according to the customer organization and decision process.
  • Part profitability and SKU Management with the customer.
  • Global customer satisfaction as measured through the appropriate metrics.
  • Assists in creating functional strategies and specific objectives to support the functional infrastructure
  • Ensures the adherence to the organization's Sales policies and procedures
  • Develops budget for the customer account(s)
  • Works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing internally as well as with the same Customer functions
  • Negotiate commercial agreements/contracts with customers which are beneficial to the Company
  • Other duties as required

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field required
  • 5+ years Commercial experience in an Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Agriculture, Construction, Powersports, and/or Industrial field
  • 8+ years of managerial experience required
  • Product / Process design and development knowledge
  • Exhaust or Powertrain systems understanding
  • Someone who takes complete ownership of all financial aspects of their account(s)
  • Strategic thinker with high business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to grow the business relationship with the customer.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • MBA
  • Customer facing experience
  • Tier 1 parts experience a strong plus (Sales, Engineering, Program Management)
