Power Systems Engineering Director
Location: Marietta, OH

Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to oversee the development and execution of low-voltage power distribution solutions serving mission-critical infrastructure and data-driven facilities. This position is responsible for guiding engineering strategy, managing technical teams, supporting operational objectives, and ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of power distribution equipment with proven experience leading engineering organizations in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
Leadership & Organizational Impact
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and technical leadership to electrical and mechanical engineering professionals
  • Establish performance expectations related to design quality, project execution, accountability, and engineering excellence
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, and professional growth initiatives
  • Drive improvements in engineering workflows, standardization efforts, and department efficiency
  • Foster collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, commercial, and operations teams

Power Distribution Engineering Oversight
  • Lead the engineering development of low-voltage switchboard and power distribution products

  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain personnel regarding component selection, sourcing strategies, and vendor support

Compliance, Validation & Quality Systems
  • Maintain adherence to applicable UL, NEC, and industry standards associated with power distribution equipment
  • Support factory acceptance testing, witness testing, validation activities, and engineering verification processes
  • Ensure engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained
  • Promote quality-focused practices throughout engineering and manufacturing operations
  • Support certification requirements and ongoing compliance initiatives

Project Delivery & Strategic Execution
  • Manage engineering priorities within multiple concurrent projects and production schedules
  • Identify technical, operational, and project risks early in the development cycle
  • Implement mitigation plans to support project success and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to large-scale infrastructure and critical-power initiatives from concept through delivery
  • Support broader business objectives through strategic planning and operational leadership

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering teams within electrical manufacturing, power systems, switchgear, or switchboard environments
  • Strong technical background involving low-voltage switchboards, switchgear assemblies, or related power-distribution equipment
  • Familiarity with UL 891 and/or UL 1558 standards and associated compliance requirements
  • Ability to review, guide, and approve complex engineering documentation and electrical system designs
  • Experience supporting technical proposals, bill-of-material development, and quotation processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, sales, procurement, and customer-facing functions
